Suyasha Jolly, fondly known as Hiya by her family and friends
has always been fascinated by fashion and clothing from the time she played dress up in her mother's high heels and long gowns, and looked up to her grandmother as the epitome of grace every time she dressed up in a beautifully draped saree for an occasion.
She soon developed a keen interest in costume design and couture. From understanding the depth and emotion of a character in a movie, to mixing a variety of fabrics, colours and embroideries to create a beautiful ensemble.
It is with this notion she joined NIFT(mumbai) in 2013 to pursue her fashion design degree.
During her summer vacations while pursuing her degree, she also worked with the local artisans of bhandara to understand the dying craft of kosa silk,as well as the Parsi communities in Maharashtra to gain more knowledge on traditional Parsi Gara embroidery. After graduating she worked with esteemed Indian couturier Manish Malhotra in the field of styling and designing and worked on movies like Dhadak, Race 3, Fanney Khan amongst a few also having assisted in personal styling and award shows for Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Jacqueline Fernandez, etc.
Suyasha has an aesthetic that makes women feel beautiful, modern yet very traditional in their own right.
While the media and designers would always teach you how to look like or be like someone,no one really told you to just be you, and be the best version of yourself.
It is with this vision that she launched her label -House of Hiya in March of 2019.
House of Hiya woman is an unapologetic dreamer. She's romantic, a breath of fresh air, she is a muse who translates into poetry. She is delicate, and effortlessly beautiful.
We, at House of Hiya believe in helping women tap into their femininity with delicate fabrics and intricate work of art that resonate with our customers.
